All Things Pagan

Recommended Posts

Guest

Along with my Wicca topic, I decided to discuss paganism as well because I feel like it would be an interesting topic to discuss as well.

I will be discussing all things related to paganism/ the culture along with customs/traditions/ historical background etc  as well because it’s a very misunderstood religion along with Wicca. So I hope you guys enjoy this because I’m super excited to start researching paganism and learn more about it as well.

Introduction:What is Paganism?:

“Paganism was originally a pejorative and derogatory term for polytheism, implying its inferiority. Paganism has broadly connoted the "religion of the peasantry", During and after the Middle Ages, the term paganism was applied to any non-Abrahamic or unfamiliar religion, and the term presumed a belief in false god.”(From Wikipedia.)

I want to learn more about this.

Every religon and faith has some sort of magic attached to it, either by prayer and focusing your will, or by preforming a physical act of ritual to induce magic, it is everywhere.

The Main Beliefs of Paganism:

Paganism is best described as a group of religions and spiritual traditions based on a reverence for nature. Like Hinduism, there is no single founder, scripture or religious philosophy. Most Pagans, however, believe in the divine character of the natural world and Paganism is often described as an "Earth religion" (BBC)
